The FireAngel Specification FS1226-T Enhanced Heat Alarm is a battery powered heat alarm for the rooms where a smoke alarm would give false alarms: kitchens, garages and lofts. It runs on a sealed-for-life 10 year Panasonic lithium battery, so there is no mains wiring and no battery changes for the life of the alarm.

Its Thermistek enhanced thermal sensor monitors the rate of temperature rise and predicts when a room is heading to a dangerous temperature, sounding between +54C and +62C. A large central button handles the weekly test, Smart Silence for a known false alarm, and Locate.

The alarm is Smart RF ready: fit a FireAngel Smart RF Radio Module (FS1521W2, sold separately) to interlink it wirelessly with up to 50 FireAngel Smart RF smoke, heat and CO alarms, including the FireAngel Connect Gateway.

Important: as marked on the alarm, a heat alarm is not suitable as a fire safety device unless it is interconnected to one or more smoke alarms. Wireless interlinking needs the separate Smart RF module (FS1521W2).
