I ordered this to replace the remote thermostat of my 12yr old system . Its advertised as a compatible replacement but I was worried that it might not communicate with my existing wall transmitter attached to my boiler. In fact it’s incredibly easy : Just unclip the front of the old wall transmitter and clip the new one in. Fits exactly. No tools . No rewiring . No programming of the new transmitter . Brilliant.

Easy to use and works perfectly with our combo boiler. I bought this same one because I dropped the one we had been using for over a year, from on top of our tall fridge onto tiled floor, but was able to put it back together and it is still working. Now I have a spare in case I am not so lucky next time!

The screen on my Honeywell CM921 had packed it…. I performed the diy fix using large paper grips and a hair dryer, but that didn’t last! I was reduced to using manual mode to provide temporary heating in my house! I considered getting a new thermostat and relay when I saw this! Half the price of a new set up! Best thing ever! It was delivered quickly and I had it paired up to my already installed Honeywell BDR91 relay in a couple of minutes thanks to the easy to follow video (supplied by way of a QR code on the box), so I didn’t need to install the BDR91 type relay that came in the box! There’s 4 time programmes for each day and a 7 day programme that can easily be customised to suit! Honestly, I wish I knew about this sooner….. best thing I’ve bought for my house!

Instructions not the clearest for use but managed to get everything installed and set up. So far so good! Old honey well screen went funky so needed a replacement

I needed to replace an existing obsolete Honeywell thermostat. This is compatible with my existing receiver unit, so I didn’t need to get an electrician to install the receiver that was provided. Instructions on how to pair weren’t great so I googled instructions and it worked. Programming was very easy and the unit has a stand so it’s portable.

Works really well keeps the house at a much more constant temperature then the old one did. Only little thing I don’t like about it or would change is the temperature your selecting the display of that is small while the temperature the room is actually at is very large but that’s picking fault tbf.

Replaced my Honeywell controller, that had started to misbehave (losing date, binding,etc). Binding, although taking several steps, worked first time.So why four stars?It only has four time periods per day- the Honeywell had six. It is just a bit of code, why so limiting?It has many fewer buttons, making settings more complex.But it is a lot cheaper- so I am pretty happy with it.

Very easy to install, simple instructions

As a non-tech savvy person reliant on heating for my health due to disability, having my old thermostat control and display unit (which has always been awfully temperamental due to a loose circuitboard) finally give up the ghost on what was the coldest day of the year at that point - with my handy sibling out of the country I had a big problem or so I though.I had to put my trust in Reddit and YouTube to see if there was a straight swap that as I couldn’t replace the wired in communicator under the boiler myself would just pair with it and use the LavaTap Pro controller with the still working old communicator.Assured of compatibility and of my own competence in pairing it myself I ordered this at 3pm and it was here by 8pm (with the same day by 10pm delivery option). As forewarned on a YouTube video of the pairing process the written instructions in the box were not as clear as they could be so I referred back to that video and it took all of 3 mins and a couple of button presses to have the old communicator and the new display controller talking. Within half an hour the house was warm and the threat of mew-tiny had passed, my cats were happily laid across the tops of toasty warm radiators once more.This was the cheapest fastest fix for me in the jam I was in that day and I’m pleased with the cost comparable to a tradesman call-out, the thermostat input and display unit is far better than the one it replaced, which would just die if you touched it because of the apparently well known issue with the circuitboard, it had been subject to recall back when it was as in production and I inherited the old controls from the previous owner many years after the unit could have been replaced by the manufacturer. Now with the new unit I can take the controller off the wall and use it wherever without or press any buttons without fear it’s going to die one me.The only reason I didn’t wire in the new boiler communicator and continue using the old one isn’t due to any complexity - I understand how to do it, I am just too disabled nowadays to be sat that way for the full task, which is why I was so desperate for the pairing cross compatibility)

This does the job. Very versatile in terms of programming. Easy enough to fit. I have this parallelled with a wired digital thermostat. This wireless unit is located at the other end of the house. It looks smart. It's temperature control is accurate. No idea on the battery life yet but batteries were supplied. All in all, no complaints here.
