The Fernox TF1 Sigma HP 28 mm heat pump filter is a high flow system filter designed to support modern air source and ground source heating installations. Built specifically for renewable heating systems, it helps maintain clean circulating water without restricting flow, making it well suited to applications where consistent performance is essential.

In heat pump systems, circulating debris such as installation residue, corrosion particles, and general system contaminants can build up over time. The TF1 Sigma HP uses Fernox Flow Disruptor technology to help capture a wide range of debris types by creating an engineered low flow area within the filter body. This allows particles to settle and be retained while maintaining strong system flow.

The high flow design ensures the filter operates effectively without blocking or causing significant pressure loss, helping support the overall efficiency and performance of the heating system. This is particularly important in heat pump installations, where maintaining flow contributes directly to system output and operational consistency.

Constructed from a durable glass reinforced engineering polymer, the filter is designed for long term use in demanding environments. It is compatible with water, inhibited glycol solutions, and system additives commonly used in heating systems, with support for up to 50 percent glycol concentration.

The unit is supplied with brass full bore valves for 28 mm pipework and can be installed in both horizontal and vertical orientations, with flexibility to fit in tighter spaces where required. Servicing is straightforward, with captured debris discharged through the drain valve without the need to dismantle the unit or shut down the system.

This model is designed for use on 28 mm pipework and is suitable for larger domestic or light commercial heating systems. For installation, approximately 230 mm of pipe removal is required when using the supplied valves.
