The LavaTap Magnetic Boiler Filter 22mm protects your boiler, pump and radiators by catching the sludge and debris that circulate in a central heating system. Black iron oxide (magnetite) forms as radiators and pipework age, and over time it settles in boiler heat exchangers and pumps. This inline filter removes it before it gets there.

Fitting: the filter connects to 22mm pipework with two 22mm compression elbow isolating ball valves. It can be installed on vertical or horizontal pipe runs in four orientations, and is best fitted on the return to the boiler. Leave enough clearance to remove the lid for servicing.

Servicing: close both valves, undo the lid with the supplied tool, and wipe the magnet and mesh clean. The drain valve at the base and the bleed vent on the lid help keep the job tidy.
