This listing is for the boiler tank unit and factory-fitted 13-amp power lead only; isolation valves, pressure-reducing valves, and additional plumbing connectors are not included. The unit offers a highly efficient, space-saving solution that replaces the need for a kettle, providing near-boiling water at the point of use for tea, coffee, and speed-cooking. Critical Installation Warning: The most common cause of boiler failure is "Dry Burning." To prevent permanent damage that is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, the tank must be fully filled with water before the power is switched on. The installer must run the boiling water handle on the tap until a steady, consistent stream flows from the spout before plugging the unit into a wall socket. Additionally, this unit is engineered for a supply pressure range of 1.5 to 5 bar; if your incoming mains pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure-reducing valve must be fitted. To protect the internal heating element from limescale "furring" and sediment damage, this tank should always be used in conjunction with a high-quality inline scale-inhibiting filter. Care must be taken when tightening the inlet and outlet connections. Overtightening can cause internal leaks and void the guarantee, we recommend hand tightening rather than using tools. The LavaTap HOT-TANK comes with a 5 year warranty when fitted together with a LavaTap 3in1 Tap and Filter. If a tank is fitted without these components, warranty claims will be managed at the manufacturers discretion. Warranties must be registered within 30 days of purchase and a new filter must be purchased from the manufacturer every 6 months to maintain the full 5 year warranty.
